RRCA Coaching clinic coming to Green Bay

I am the Membership Director for the Green Bay Running Club and on weekend of June 12 & 13, after the Bellin 10k, I have arranged for two coaches from the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) to come to Green Bay and offer the RRCA Coaching Certification Program.  The cost of the two day program is $250 payable to RRCA.  After successful completion of the RRCA Certified Coaching Course, new coaches will be added to the online roster of RRCA Certified Coaches and granted access rights to the coach’s private page. Additional information may be found at this site http://www.rrca.org/coaches/

As you can see from the website, the closest location for the RRCA Certification course is Ohio, and there are no other classes scheduled for Wisconsin in 2010.  There are 30 slots available, and I was wondering if you could post this and my home e-mail address (anioljcje@sbcglobal.net) to your website.

BOARD POSITIONS AVAILABLE

The Board of Directors of the PaceSetters of the Fox Cities is seeking conscientious and motivated individuals to fill a variety of volunteer positions on its nonprofit Board.  Bring your dreams, vision and values to improve community health and activity. The Board is looking for volunteer leaders to guide the mission of the club and its programs.  This is a great opportunity to “give back” to the “Sport of Life” and the community.  Positions available for 2010 include:

Medical Director – write a monthly blog or article for the website and newsletter on topical material for runners and walkers.  Be available from 6:30-7:15pm (Jan-Oct) before monthly meetings to answer individual member's questions.

Volunteer Director – seek and schedule volunteers for club activities, at expos (and other club promotions) and head up the annual volunteer party.

Besides the activities listed above, volunteer board members are asked to attend and contribute to monthly board meetings on the first Monday of each month, monthly Fun Run/Walks (the 2nd Wednesday each month (year round)) and monthly membership meetings (the 4th Wednesday each month (January through October with the exception of July & August)).

If you believe you have what it takes and the enthusiasm to fulfill one of the following positions, please contact Kathy Jankowski, PaceSetters President, at your earliest convenience.

Email: Kathy@PaceSettersRun.org or call 920-233-9096 (days) or 920-727-4561 (evenings).

The PaceSetters mourn the loss of Bret Younger... a friend... a board member... a runner.

Bret you will be sorely missed by all of us... and we send our prayers and deepest sympathy to your family and friends.  Words are poor things when we suffer the loss of a loved one.  Bret was a special person, who shared the joy of life like no other.  Memories of your time with us are fresh and hopefully will carry us through our grief.  Thank You Bret!
